Patriot Guard Riders
I have recently had the pleasure to hear about this group of bikers who do their best to honor those who serve. They are called the Patriot Guard Riders.
In August 2005, as the casualties from the Iraq War started to increase, an isolated church group began to gather and protest at the funerals of soldiers.
Their demonstrations had nothing to do with the particular soldiers who had died, but surviving family members, overwhelmed by grief, were horrified when the protesters disrupted a funeral. The protests made no sense to them.
After hearing about the incident, a small group of motorcycle riders from the American Legion in Kansas vowed to do all it could to shield the families of the fallen. As the casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan rose, their mission expanded from a shield to a powerful presence honoring the soldiers killed in action and their families. The small group became the Patriot Guard Riders, and each month its numbers swelled.
These people are doing what all Americans should be doing, showing respect for those who have paid the ultimate price. To find out more about them go to the Patriot Guard Riders website.

I agree with you both ...lets get a beer.
People who would protest at a funeral is not only disrespectful for life...there just bad,.
They need a cold hard slap.That's F74ked up. F74k'em.
I wonder how these F74k up's would act the day their son or daughter would come home ...telling them (the bed bug parents, who protest) they signed.... so they could do some good for themselves and others.... and do their country and community proud. I'll ride my future... Harley Davidson (Nightster) Sportster 1200 with dual side by side 3" exhaust pipes. and blow'em off the F'in side walks and the streets and then I'll go play hockey. And then we can have a beer. How's that.
