So I get a call today... "Mrs. Fireball, this is Linda with the storage and moving company. We have your home goods and would like to deliver them today. Where should we deliver them?"

"Um, don't know... SINCE WE AREN'T EVEN IN THE STATE YET! It was my understanding that when we got to our station and got housing we worked with the DOT to coordinate delivery."

"Well, the orders didn't say that they were to be stored upon arrival... please call this number and talk to Carter"

"Who is Carter???? What do I tell Carter????"

"He's with the DOT, just tell him your name and you aren't in the state yet"

So I call Carter and left a message... meanwhile thinking my home goods could now potentially be sold on the street corner...

We got it sorted needless to say... just CRACKED ME UP! GOTTA LOVE THE ARMY.

Or steal no less... when my husband and I first got married we moved to the ghetto to save money. It was close to where we worked and we figured we had nothing of value. Well, we became friends with our neighbors. Two little girls 6 and 11 and I taught them how to read, we played games, etc... etc... had them over for dinner several times. They lived with their grandparents. Their mom was in prison for prostitution and possession of drugs.

Anyway, I would do my laundry and when I put a new load in I walked back to put the clean clothes in the house. By the time I got back to sit with my laundry - the lid was up and all my VS underclothing was gone. I probably had over $300 worth of nice stuff GONE! SICK. SICK. SICK. Oh well... people steal anything these days... even used lace! Live and learn...especially when in the hood.
