Welcome. I don't know much about Leonardwood, but my son finished basic at Ft. Benning in August of this year. He is currently at Ft. Lewis. Ask questions and we will try to answer them. There are some great people on this site with loads of info.

Hi mtomom, welcome to the forum, congrats to your son on his enlistment...
well, we may struggle with quantum mechanics, but we do know few things about the military... ... just kidding (Exo likes to joke... )
Hope you enjoy our crazy debates... and hope to see your questions/contris soon....
Exo..

Hello mtomom!
Hi! I'm an army mom also. and recently joined for the same reason, as well as the fact that my son was deployed last May '07. My other son moved out on his own a month later. It is strange without either one around, but I try my best to keep in touch by e-mail & writing with my son who is deployed; and the other by phone, and occassionally getting together, sharing a meal, or him staying overnite when he's in the area.

Hello You must be soooo proud you can get a lot of great info from here. NIGHT FLYER, MSG GLENN,TACKY AND EXO1(he's a little rough) have given me great advice. As far as some of the post in here they can be quite offensive....[ Good Luck to you and yours julie

Wlcome. I am also a proud mom. My son will deploy soon, his date right now is November 13. I still have 3 more at home to keep me company, when they aren't running here and there. I have learned so much from this site. Keep in touch!
