Asthma
I am currently 16 and am wanting to join the Army, they said I had asthma when I was 13. Im not on medication and I run and workout everyday without problems. Do you think they will let me in?

I don't know, maybe they let in people who can't run these days.....I wouldn't let you in, nothing personal. I just wouldn't have you watching my back on a major yomp.

Are you sure you even have asthma? You can't have any medications or inhalers at bct..Thats why you go to Meps.....And none of my unit buddys had any medical problems to speak of.....Meps is tough but you'll have to be honest..

Actually, the tests have shown inconclusive, so they gave me medication but I never took it, I just worked out really hard and I think over-come it.

You can overcome it, you can grow out of it with age. I don't believe I have it.

You can't cure it though and you sure as hell could not get in the British army back in the 80's with it once they established that you had it.....
Great, you join the army ........BS your way through and then put other peoples lives at risk because you can't keep up after a days intensive. I tell you what , if they do let you in then they want their arses kickin big time!

I don't fall behind with ANYthing, I can take the intensive physical conditioning as well as any other person. I wouldn't put people at risk, I would work my *** off every minute of every day to make sure I was doing my job. I would never bs my way through the system either. What makes you think I am weaker than the rest?
