Default Should I...

I was wondering if I should get one of the little flags with a star in the center of it for our window? I don't know if anyone still puts them up or not but I would like to hear if it is a good idea from anyone else.

It was my understanding those represented a death of a loved-one? Or was that just the star itself?

According to Rangerjoes.com "Service flags are displayed in times of war by households with an immediate family member(s) in the service. One five-pointed blue star for each enlisted family member."

It's cool...Yea, alot of families hang their flags...My family did..in the sattellite windows of the front doors back home...My dad had one hanging from the back window of his truck. The best one is The Army battle flag..The white one.....The original...1775.....lets ppl know that your an Army family.....

I took the white battle flag from our flag pole back home and it now hangs in my apt...lol...

A Blue Star is for those serving.

A Gold Star is for a KIA.

My blue star flag has two stars. One for my son & one for me. My wife insisted. I don't want either one to turn gold!
