At least you got to see him.

I'm proud of my son too & all service members. We have a lot to be proud of!

By the way- the photo is flopped. The US flag is worn on the right sleeve & the flash on the beret is worn over the left eye. You'll see that happen a lot when the photographer or editor feels the picture is more pleasing with the subject looking in the other direction.

Good stuff. You have every reason to be proud!!

He & all the others are always in my prayers.

What a great tribute. I remember the day my son called saying he was on his way. I had very mixed emotions of worry, and worry. He is doing great. He loves it. He tells me all the time not to worry. I told him last week I will ponder his safety(that's different than worrying, isn't it??) until his dusty boots hit US soil again.

The favorite uncle, that always brings presents, is never forgotten. Don't worry.

My son will be home soon. It's hard because I really want to be there to greet him when he comes in, but too much going on around here, He says he would rather wait until he gets leave to see us. I think that's just posturing so I won't feel bad. Anyway, it will still be great to wrap my arms around him and hear him say"hey Mom, what's for dinner?"

Thanks, It's true..My brother is a cajun hot sauce expert...On the way home he went shopping at a few different super market's..Lol..Little did he know we were ready for him..We had grilled cajun style chicken piled high with Nachos filled with the works. Plenty of good food and drinks. When my brother walked through the door..We all cheered..He said, hey Mom, I got three different types of hot sauce. What's for dinner?..lol..The ice cold beer never tasted so good! as it did that Night..
