Anything from Churchill.......that man knew how to inspire a nation.......gives me pride just thinking about it.....

Ive got a mate in 3PARA and he E-mailed me this........

A message to Terry Taliban......
Watch out terry, were hunting you down.
Theres nowhere to hide,in Sangin town.
You hit the deck, when the 50s are fired.
No point in running, youll only die tierd.
Got Apaches on call, for brassing you up.
No sleep for days,we dont give a ****.
So do one Terry, youve plenty to fear.
We run this town now..........the Paras are here.

"The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his."
or
the more official
"No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."

-George Patton

"Success is never final. Failure is never fatal. It is courage that counts."

Who else but Winston Churchill.

My favorite was by Werner von Braun. when he addressed the issue of his membership of the NSDAP .....
"I was officially demanded to join the National Socialist Party. At this time (1937) I was already technical director of the Army Rocket Center at Peenemünde ... My refusal to join the party would have meant that I would have to abandon the work of my life. Therefore, I decided to join. My membership in the party did not involve any political activities ... in Spring 1940, one SS-Standartenführer (SS Colonel) Müller ... looked me up in my office at Peenemünde and told me that Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler had sent him with the order to urge me to join the SS. I called immediately on my military superior ... Major-General W. Dornberger. He informed me that ... if I wanted to continue our mutual work, I had no alternative but to join"

Just think if he hadn't joined, then America would have had No rocket program and Niel Armstrong would not have walked on the moon!
