Question
Is it true that army recruits get to watch TV while in boot camp? Also, could someone shed some light on the "stress card" that I've heard about? I was told that recruits can simply flash this "stress card" and that gets them out of being yelled at or worked hard. Please tell me that none of this is true.

I know you lads are American...so things work diferently...but theres no TV over here...exept maybe...sports events in the "Naffy"......stress cards??? thats funny...  ..British regs work the same sort of programme as USMC...but im not American and dont know the ins and outs of US Army regs.....id go with Tacky on that one....its got to be S**te/rumour Stress cards  |

Those were my thought exactly. The guy that told me that was kicked out of Army boot camp. He said it was because he used his stress card too often and was then considered a slacker. Me personally, I think that it was simply because he was a slacker. It had nothing to do with a stress card. I just shool my head, said ok, and walked away. It took everything in my power not to laugh.

I bet, I would be conflicted between laughing and slapping him hard on the back of the head for been a lazy *** slacker!!.. Army requires motivation, awareness and intelligence as much as it requires physical prowess.. no room on either side of the skill set for a lazy assed freeloader!!...

I couldnt agree with you more. I should have slapped the taste out of his mouth like I wanted to. The whole thing sounded stupid from the jump.

It sure did!!.. I dont know what goes through some folks heads period!!.. They sign up and the notions in their head are so convoluted, I dont think even they can figure it out!!..

You should have kicked his arse.....shown him what good a so called "stress card" would do...with a Marine knocking lumps out of him..  .....the kid who said that dosnt sound military materiel....sounds like he fall out of the lazy tree.....and hit every branch on the way down...
Every military in the world is better off with out those guys
I wouldnt trust that type of guy to have my back in a tare up...would you mate??
