Default Mailing help, etc. for new Army mom

I just found out that my son joined the Army. I know that he is at Ft. Benning. I have his unit, etc. He left on June 26th to go. Can I write to him? If so how? Also, what are the chances that he will get his requested MOS. I know that his ASVAB scores were very high. I'm really new to all of this and will appreciate anyone's patience and knowledge. I'm relieved that he is alive and hopefully happy.

If you have his address then go ahead and mail him letters of support.

If he's at basic training then he probably already has his MOS assigned to him and will report immediately following basic training graduation. Unless he's OSUT (one station unit training) for Infantry which he could be if he's at Benning.

How do you know what unit he is in? You should have a complete address, he would have probably mailed it to you.

Oh ok, you can probably go to the Benning website and get the mailing address. Do you know when his expected graduation date is?
