The Democratic party whined for years about Bush running up the debt. In a month and a half, Obama has increased the debt and deficit by 50% each. If he was smart he'd listen to the economic minds who are telling him that these actions are destroying the economy.

I gave him a chance. He failed miserably.

I have several very old & dear friends who are very liberal. During the campaign it was "Sen. Obama this & Sen. Obama that" until it got sickening & when he won the nomination & to a much greater degree the election they partied, called everyone to share the news & their happiness.

I got an e mail from them yesterday admitting they were wrong wrong wrong. The can't believe that they, fairly intelligent & educated people that they are, could fall for his line of BS (their words). They feel his is totally going to wreck the nation & are in the process of switching their party affiliation to Republican. In retrospect they feel John McCain would have been a much better choice according to what he said in his campaign.

In a very short time he's turning this nation into a socialist state. I tried telling my friend that Obabma called himself a New Democrat rather than a Democrat. Had the media told the truth New Democrars is the new name for socialists. A lot of moderate Democrats are first finding that out.

I am scared for the nation.

Default Obama aint yo momma

Sorry about the title of my post I got carried away. WOW your question is one that should bring alot of food for thought. I think that President Obama has done everything he said he would do. I am suprised at alot of my Democrat friends who are suprised at what he has done so far. I agree with Msg Glenn, he is slowly moving us to a socialist state. So many people got caught up in the EMOTION of the election and quit using their brains. In most of the President's speeches( before he was elected) he spoke with passion and feeling but said very little of substance. I hope the President does well, because if he does then we all do well. I am afraid of where he is taking our country. I think McCain would have at least done a better job of keeping America, American. President Obama is doing all he can to create a new way of politics in America.

The bottom line is I dont feel President Obama has American values and principles at heart!!

Unfortunatly, John McCain would help bring upon the same fate that this current administration will. Difference being, Mccain would of brought us there much slower.

My faith lies in Ron Paul. Also I think Duncan Hunter would of done a good job, and to a lesser extent, Mitt Romney.

All of these in the absence of a Libertarian Candidate.

I am a Canadian with American family. The reason I registered is because I was thinking about seeing if it was possible for me to join the U.S military. John McCain is a great senator, but I think he dose not inspire greatness like your current president. I would happily come down and fight beside you, and I think the rest of the world is starting to come around as well.

Come on down, Canada.

All you need to join the US Army is a green card which shouldn't be too much of a problem for you.

I have Canadian roots myself. when my grandparents came from Europe they settled in Saskatchewan & some of the family went to Manitoba & B.C. I still have many relatives living up there. My mother was born in Regina.

I'm not offering this to the truth of the matter asserted, just food for thought:

I agree, Im an Irishman in Ireland, and I have heard the hippys whine for a while now...

I dont know if Obama is trying to bring in a socialist state in the US. We have allot of experience of that in Europe and it doesnt appear to me to be the case in the US. I think he is trying to bring in a mixed economy, which makes sense to me as you can balance the mix to the countries needs, and put the clampers on the Financial Services industry who has made a major power base in the Wall Street Syndicates and shown they are reckless irresponsible and greedy. The need to be controlled and the Government for the sake of its people needs to find the balance between the good of the people and allowing enough room for commerce to flurish.. A survey some 2 years ago shown the US with a Free Market Economy was 11th easiest to do business in. Ireland with a mixed economy came joined 3rd... p.s. Wall St. came up with the Hairbrained ideas for Financial Product innovation which basically uncontrolled crashed the markets 3 times in the last 30 years. The reality is that all Major Financial Epicentres around the Globe eagerly followed suite....so the description of Bankers is not a US one, its an international one...

Exo... what do you mean a mixed economy? A mixed economy to an economist means something different than what you put out.
