How long is OSUT Graduation?
My family and I are flying out to see my son graduate from OSUT this week. Of course, my son knows no details, so I am relying on all of you for help. He is at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri. The graduation starts at 10:00 a.m. (10000 for the non-civilians out there). My question is, how long is the ceremony itself? We are coming from Maryland and here is a 3 hour difference in the last flights home the day of graduation. If I know how long to expect the ceremony to be, it will make the legistics of getting home easier. Thanks for any help!

Infantry OSUT at Ft. Benning was at the most 1.5 hours long. A few speeches, a pass in review parade, a few award presentations & that's about it. Infantry has a "Turning Blue" ceremony the day before, also.

Figure about a hour and a half for the ceremony it's self. Some go quicker, some longer.
Be prepared for your son to want you to meet his friends and DS's after the fact. That always go's on. Then you'll want get dinner, ect.........
Plan on blowing most of a day.

When I graduated from OSUT at Fort LeonardWood in 84; I was told to get out of dodge by my DS and was on the Greyhound bus to Lambert Field lol.
45 to 75 mins max mostly. There will be some speeches and awards as mentioned. You should able to leave post by 11:30 (1130hrs to your non civilians) latest.
