Troops Clean Up With Local Kids
|
 IRAQ (MNC-I PAO, Dec. 31, 2007) - When Multi-National Corps-Iraq Army Command Sgt. Maj. Neil Ciotola’s Personal Security Detail Soldiers went to entry control point 13 to clean up Dec. 15, they did not know they would be having fun and making new friends. As soon as the troops reached the point, a few Iraqi children gathered around the, taking the initiative to help clean and spend time with the Soldiers.

New Airline Soars Iraqi Skies

WASHINGTON (AFIS, Dec. 31, 2007) - A departing aviation brigade may have left the skies over Baghdad a little less congested, but travelers need not worry. A new solution to the decrease of aircraft has taken to the skies. The Phantom Express has become the main means of transportation for individuals or small groups traveling in theatre.

Samir Murshed Khushid, commandant of the Kirkuk Police Academy and former Peshmerga soldier, said. He tells his recruits they are here to serve their fellow citizen, to "protect them, ethnicity does not matter."

Triple Threat Pressures al Qaeda in Iraq

Army Announces Stationing Decisions

 WASHINGTON (Army News Service, Dec. 19, 2007) - Secretary of the Army Pete Geren and Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Richard Cody today announced plans to activate three new units in 2008, and other unit-stationing decisions to support the Army's growth by up to 74,200 Soldiers, including 65,000 active-duty Soldiers, by 2010.
