The proper technical education teaches you how to service Caterpillar® equipment using cutting-edge diagnostic and maintenance systems, advanced technologies, and high-tech tools. Graduates of the Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician Program (ThinkBig) receive an associate degree in applied science.

The 100% Caterpillar designed and authored curriculum combine classroom work with experiential learning - learning-by-doing. No more sitting in class wondering if you're going to use what's being taught. Through hands-on work experience and training in state-of-the-art labs, you'll get to use what you've learned and you'll know why it's important.

Not everyone can handle a job this big. As a Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician, you'll be an educated, skilled professional ready for a challenge. This is not a desk job. You'll get physical with big, tough, high-tech machines. You'll be part of the team Cat® dealers and customers count on. You'll be the expert- the technician who diagnoses equipment problems, finds solutions, and performs the necessary service or repairs.

The heavy equipment industry pays great, and Cat® dealerships lead the way in offering great salaries. As an entry-level Caterpillar® Dealer Service Technician, your pay can be $25,000-$35,000 a year and grow to $60,000-$70,000 a year as your skills and experience increase.
